Clinical Relational Supervision 1:1 for counsellors and Psychotherapists:
Whether online or in person, Jo welcomes enquiries from trainees and qualified professional therapists looking to experience a relational approach to clinical supervision. “I incorporate the use of Hawkins and Shohet’s seven-eyed model to guide, encourage openness and invite curiosity within the supervision relationship. I offer a safe, nurturing environment where unconditional positive regard, guidance and motivational support allow for honesty and vulnerability when discussing all aspects of clinical work. Jo’s aim is to create robust, long lasting, supportive clinical relationships with supervisees who wish to grow in their own professional development and embrace their own unique style of working. It is imperative that we take good care of ourselves and supervision is an important aspect of the therapist’s self-care. Not only can I support you in your private practice, I can support you in your life and career goals. Within our unique working relationship I can attend to your professional needs by motivating and supporting you to grow and further your knowledge, develop your ambition and flourish in your career. Therapy for Therapists:
Are you a therapist looking for space to reflect, explore and process? It can be tricky to find a therapist comfortable working with other therapists. Here at Dialogues we offer specific services to our therapist colleagues because we want to help you to mindfully care for your own self whilst taking care of your clients and supervisees. We can offer a truly confidential and non judgemental space, either short or long term, in person or online. We can be there for you, not just for when life gets tough and it’s time to dip back into your own personal therapy, but for a dedicated space for your own reflections and understanding. We all need a bit of support from time to time, even us… especially us! Feel welcome to reach out and schedule a friendly, confidential chat with us. Talktodialogues@gmail.com
Professional supervision for frontline emergency services and legal professionals:
Front line emergency personnel including social workers, medics and legal professionals are the people we all look to in times of crisis but who do you go to when the pressure is on for you to keep it together? Burnout arises from carrying confidential caseloads and being exposed repeatedly to highly emotional and traumatic material. Without a robust outlet, the cumulative impact of being exposed long term to trauma can have a devastating impact. It’s often home life that begins to suffer first because none of us, however experienced or qualified in our profession, have a finite capacity for holding in such emotion and neither should we. When holding it together professionally becomes more difficult we might notice ourselves becoming more reliant on behaviours that allow us to escape our feelings. If you would benefit from being able to speak freely and confidentially, you’d like to feel lighter emotionally and you would like to feel a greater sense of joy in life generally, please send me an email. Sessions can be one off, ad hoc or longer term and individual sessions are 50 minutes.talktodialogues@gmail.com
